Privacy and Cookies Policy

This is the Privacy Policy of the site Economy of Communion Business Network (EoC BN) – www.edc-info.org – in reference to the processing of personal data of its users.

1. Premise

1.1. Protection of personal data and responsibility

EOC BN, an activity of the Economy of Communion of the Focolare Movement (PAMOM, Via di Frascati 306, 00040 Rocca di Papa, RM), recognizes the importance of protecting the personal data of its users in the knowledge that it is a fundamental right of the person protected various international legislation.The use of the website and the services of EOC BN is subject to Italian law.

In this perspective, which is in line with a firm adherence to high standards of Social Responsibility, EOC BN intends to set out in a transparent manner the purposes and modalities with which the processing of personal data is carried out, showing itself also available to collaborate with its own registrants and visitors of the EOC BN Internet site, as identified below, to put in place, if required, the operations necessary or necessary to update, correct or delete the personal data that may be processed by EOC BN, in compliance with current legislation and to the peculiar needs of the interested parties.

The following information is therefore reported, to be intended as provided also for the purpose of issuing the information pursuant to international data regulations.

In this document, every reference to the EOC BN website must be understood as being made to the following site: www.edc-info.org, with the warning that any other site referred to verbatim or to which one or more hypertext links should be present or in other form, it does not belong to EOC BN, unless otherwise expressly indicated, and therefore cannot be traced to the processing of personal data in the ownership of EOC BN.

2. Purposes of data processing

2.1. Information and contacts

EOC BN, through its Internet site, pursues informational purposes relating to the conduct of its association activity and the relations between it and the Focolare Movement (PAMOM, Via di Frascati 306, 00040 Rocca di Papa, RM), of which the same it’s part. The aforementioned information (also regarding the description of the services offered) is flanked by the indication of the EOC BN Secretariat’s address, so that it can be reached by those who relate or want to relate to the aforementioned Association (including Adherents, potential Adherents, Suppliers , Employees, etc.) with technological or traditional tools.

With regard to potential registrants, the contact details and information on the EOC BN website are made available to them to know, evaluate and possibly to join EOC BN or to have contacts in constant relationship in order to reach a more efficient performance of services, with a rise in customer satisfaction levels.

The contact details and information on the website are also made available to suppliers or internal and external collaborators, in order to improve the network of contacts and the efficiency of contacts.

Further aims also concern the improvement of the efficiency of the Internet site, by indicating the e-mail address of the webmaster, among the contacts, to which it is possible to address, voluntarily and optionally, specific communications pertaining to the functionality and presence of the contents of the site itself.

2.2. Data supplied voluntarily by users via email

The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of e-mails to the addresses indicated on the websites of EOC BN, results in the subsequent acquisition of the sender’s address, since this is necessary to respond to requests, and any further ones, personal data that the user has entered in the message.

2.3. Data supplied voluntarily by users via forms

EOC BN adheres to the principles established by current legislation on privacy. The user is free to provide personal data contained in the forms or indicated in “contacts” with the EOC BN for requests for informative material or other communications. Failure to provide such data may make it impossible to obtain what has been requested.

Data submitted via forms is used to:

  • Create aggregated reports on activities of companies and community as pertains to the Economy of Communion
  • Provide general information on companies to the public and other members of EOC BN such as, but not limited to, contact information, history of the company, fields of activities
  • Access and download texts, scripts, images, sounds, videos, animations and other materials provided by EOC BN (henceforth “Contents”) in the form of one or more electronic files;
  • Upload and store texts, scripts, images, sounds, videos, animations and any other material to share among EOC BN (henceforth “Contents”) in the form of one or more electronic files.

2.4 Data supplied in discussion forums

User contributions to the discussion forum are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License. Without limiting any of those representations or warranties, EOC BN has the right (though not the obligation) to, in EOC BN’s sole discretion (i) refuse or remove any content that violates any EOC BN policy or is in any way harmful or objectionable, or (ii) terminate or deny access to and use of the Website to any individual or entity for any reason, in EOC BN’s sole discretion.

2.5. Data not supplied with consent of the users

If the personal data provided should contain sensitive and / or judicial data and written consent to the processing was not provided, the aforementioned data will be deleted and / or destroyed by EOC BN.

EOC BN will be able to process the personal data of the interested parties, even without written consent, for the reasons established by current legislation, which will be verified in relation to the specific case, such as, for example, in the case in which the treatment is necessary to comply with legal obligations, regulations or Community legislation, or it is necessary to fulfill obligations arising from a contract of which the party is a party and in the other applicable regulatory provisions. EOC BN also reserves the right to delete data relating to third parties for which the necessary written consent has not been given, where required.

2.6. Excluded Purposes

In any case, unless otherwise expressed by the interested party, the personal data collected directly by EOC BN and for which EOC BN-P.A.M.O.M. is the data controller, is not used for marketing purposes, to define the profiles or personalities of the interested party, for sending advertising or direct sales material, or for carrying out market research or commercial communication.

3. Methods of Data processing

3.1. Tools and Instruments for data processing

The data processing is carried out with computerized and telematic systems and with electronic tools.

The treatment is carried out partly on special servers owned by EOC BN – P.A.M.O.M. or possibly from another server farm. In the latter case, EOC BN, by virtue of a specific contract, still has the exclusive legal availability of the server or servers used, without any communication of the data to the company providing the service, which remains in any case contractually held with EOC BN to adopt suitable and updated security and protection measures, both physical and logical, on the servers used by EOC BN.

The data processing is also carried out with IT and telematic systems present at the EOC BN headquarters or, in any case, with IT tools owned by the same or, where necessary, by the data processing officers, in compliance with the security measures required by current legislation and, in any case, those given by the data controller.

The processing of data may also take place with non-electronic means, including the use of paper support.

3.2. Processing Operations

Processing operations may consist of one or more operations concerning the collection of data, their registration, organization, storage, consultation, processing, modification, selection, extraction, comparison, use, interconnection, blocking, communication (as specified in the following paragraph 3.3), cancellation and destruction, even regardless of their registration in a database.

3.3. Data dissemination

Personal data collected by EOC BN or of which EOC BN should become aware in carrying out its activities may be communicated to (or may be object of knowledge of) persons in charge and / or data processors, in relation to specific skills and functions, in order to meet the aforementioned purposes or to implement regulatory and / or contractual obligations.

Normally the data are not communicated to or brought to the knowledge of other data controllers, unless this is necessary in compliance with regulatory or contractual provisions or to fulfill specific obligations. In this case the aforementioned data may, in particular, be brought to the attention of the following subjects or of the following categories of subjects, to the extent that this is necessary for the fulfillment of the regulatory and / or contractual obligations of consultants or collaborators, internal and / or external, for compliance with current legislation and / or for the performance of contractual services in relations with the individuals concerned (labor consultants, legal advisors, accountants, tax consultants, auditors) of the Focolare Movement (P.A.M.O.M.) (www.focolare.org), of which EOC BN is a member.

3.4. Data disclosure

Personal data will not be disclosed, unless expressly requested by the interested party. In such cases, the scope of data diffusion remains contained within the limits of the request of the interested party.

It is possible, however, that the navigation data of the site is disseminated only, but in this case the data will be disseminated in an aggregated and anonymous form, in order to carry out statistical surveys regarding the consultation of the EOC BN website or part of it.

3.5. Navigation Data

Consultation of the EOC BN website may involve automatic processing of the user’s browsing data for the sole purpose of making the consultation itself technically possible, as well as checking and ensuring its correct functioning in relation to the hardware and software used. Although the processing of the aforementioned data is not carried out to identify who browses the website specified above, there is the possibility that the same can be traced back to the user’s identity, if such data are associated with other data provided to EOC BN or to third parties.

Among the navigation data, the following can be treated: IP numbers of the instruments used by the User; access numbers; displayed pages; access and connection times; browsing browser; operating system used by the User; URL visited before accessing the EOC BN website; numeric code indicating the status of the response given by the server (success, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the operating system and the user’s IT environment.

These data will not be used except for the purposes specified above, including that of any monitoring in an anonymous form for statistical purposes.

If the aforementioned information should be used for statistical purposes, the data relating to the user will be processed in an aggregate and anonymous form, in order to preserve a high level of protection for data subjects (see paragraph 3.4, last sentence).

The navigation data could be used, where necessary, to ascertain responsibility in case of hypothetical computer crimes against the site.

On the EOC BN website there is also a special reserved area, whose access, by entering a username and a password, allows EOC BN and data processors to carry out the necessary operations to provide and manage the services and to manage and maintain the entire IT and telematic system.

Access to the reserved area is also allowed to those who have previously obtained specific personal authentication credentials, in order to access the services requested by EOC BN and provided by the latter.

By accessing the reserved area, the system can collect and process information regarding the times and methods of access and the operations performed. In this case, the treatment is aimed exclusively at managing the service offered and maintaining the system’s security levels.

4. Nature of data conferment

The conferment of personal data of the interested party is optional, except in cases where, in the presence of a form, the field relating to the insertion of data is marked with an asterisk. In such cases the conferment of the data is to be considered mandatory.

It is also mandatory the automatic processing of navigation data, data relating to access and permanence in the restricted area and data of a contractual nature.

5. Failure to provide data

Failure to provide the optional data does not prejudice in any case the execution of the services requested to EOC BN.

Where the provision of data is to be considered mandatory, in relation to the provisions of paragraph 5, the failure to provide the same, or consent to the processing, may determine the impossibility, by EOC BN, to provide the service or provide the requested performance or reply.

6. User’s Rights

The users, to whom the personal data processed by EOC BN refer, enjoy the rights to obtain confirmation of the existence or not of personal data concerning them, even if not yet registered, and their communication in intelligible form.

They also have the right to obtain information concerning the origin of the aforementioned data, the purposes and methods of processing, the logic of processing, the identification details of the data controller and the person in charge, the subjects or categories of subjects to whom data can be communicated. They also have the right to obtain updating, rectification and integration, where there is an interest.

They also have the right to verify their accuracy, as well as to request cancellation, transformation into anonymous form or blocking of data processed in violation of the law, and to oppose in any case, for legitimate reasons, to their processing.

The requests can be forwarded to EOC BN – P.A.M.O.M., as better specified in the following paragraph 7.

7. Data Processing Owner and Contact

The owner of the processing of personal data is EoC Business Network of the Economy of Communion of the P.A.M.O.M., with registered office in Rocca di Papa (Rome) at Frascati Street, 306.

EOC BN – P.A.M.O.M. performs the functions of the person in charge of the processing, also for the purposes of the reply to be provided to the interested party for the exercise of the rights referred to in paragraph 7 (regarding the protection of personal data).

The EOC BN can therefore be contacted for any request, clarification or feedback on the application of the legislation on the protection of personal data and for the concrete exercise of the rights of the person concerned, better indicated in paragraph 7 above, even if make it necessary to provide for updating, modification, integration, correction and / or deletion of data, as provided for by legislative provisions or in relation to the assessment of the specific needs explicitly envisaged by the interested party.
